Meet Linda Hayward!
Linda originally started teaching in a third grade classroom in Wheaton, IL.
After getting married and moving to California, she taught there for 5
years. She left teaching professionally to be a full time mother. After
her four children were in school, she went back to work,
and back to school as well. She completed her master's degree in
ESL at Wheaton College in 1997. After teaching adult ESL for a
number of years she joined District #41 in 1999. Her
first year in the district, she taught ESL at Churchill, Ben
Franklin and Forest Glen. Since then, she has taught at Churchill.
When
she is not at school, she enjoys reading, and spending time with her
family, and extended family in Michigan and California.
Meet Grace VanMaanen!
Grace first came to Churchill as an ESL tutor in 2000-2001 while she was getting her Masters in TESL/TEFL at Wheaton College. After completing the program, she taught overseas for two years in Suwon, South Korea.
There, she taught English as a Foreign Language to elementary
students. She returned to the States and began teaching at
Churchill with Linda Hayward in February 2004. She became Mrs.
VanMaanen on February 18, 2006.
